This summer I visited Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island in Washington. It’s spectacular: “one of the country’s most original and ambitious gardens” (NY Times) and “one of America’s 10 best botanical gardens” (USA Today).
Aside from being aware of and celebrating the Suquamish people who lived on the land before Bloedel existed, they have lovely Vision and Mission statements that include the importance of the connection between art and nature. As this is the thrust with my current work, I’m honored to have my giclées represented there at their shop beginning in the fall of 2021.
