In August, 2013, I was one of three featured artists on TV and at the fundraiser at the Albuquerque Museum for Albuquerque Speech Language and Hearing Center. The non-profit has been serving people in need of communication assistance for sixty years. I created a painting specifically for this event, that incorporated music in the background, as a metaphor for the bird both singing and hearing beautiful song.
Though my focus is on helping environmental and conservation groups, I've donated close to 200 works of art over the years to a wide variety of excellent causes including Roadrunner Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, AIDS Services, Planned Parenthood, American Lung Association, Animal Humane Society, and numerous libraries and art education programs around the country. https://www.kob.com/article/stories/S3127363.shtml?cat=11121
