May, 2016: I’m so pleased to present my new Giclée prints. I have avoided any kind of reproduction for years, mainly because of general public confusion between hand-pulled fine art prints and reproductions (often called prints). Once my focus turned from fine art prints to original paintings, I realized I needed to offer a valid, high quality, and affordable alternative to the higher end paintings. To my surprise, I have fallen in love with them!
To me, they are gorgeous little jewels representing the larger paintings that they were derived from. Giclée is the highest quality reproduction on the art market. The lightfast pigment is laid down randomly for high resolution and accuracy, and fine papers can be used. I found a local business that works with cutting edge technology where I can keep an eye on every step of the process. One of the things I like the most about them is that they work so well in pairs, or sets of 3-5. Because I’ve produced them all at 18 inches square on the same fine French printmaking paper, they can be mixed and matched according to your needs. All of my limited editions are titled, signed and numbered on the back, and each Giclée comes with a Certificate of Authenticity explaining how it is produced.
